Mario Bergara, president of the Central Bank of Uruguay (BCU) reported that the Uruguayan financial system should be taken with
"Total tranquility" the desision banking group Credit Agricole to close its doors in Uruguay.

Credit Agricole, which owns entirely of Credit Uruguay, reports that "defined the focus of their
retail banking activities in Europe and the Mediterranean "as a result of the closure of its branches in Uruguay.
